How much weight should you lift in the gym is always a question I get asked as a trainer.
It comes down to what your goal is, are training for strength, muscle building or endurance?
Whatever it is, then you must use failure as your guide.
I can’t tell you how much weight to use on a squat, curl or dead-lift, but I can give you a required rep range, based on your goals, and give you a goal of the intensity required at that rep range.
The numbers of reps itself is arbitrary if you don’t lift with the required effort and intensity.
